Santa Fe Stone Creations Crafting Nature's Art in Semi-Precious Stone
Works in Progress Currently I am working on a inlay into a custom built harpsichord. The instrument is finished in a deep green with gold leaf. The panel above the keyboard, presently inset with tile, will be inlaid with Tigerseye and Malachite. Yours truly sorting thru a pile of rough Malachite and the rough material I chose to work with acquired at the Tuscon, Arizona gem and mineral show.
The bottom picture shows my progress as of May 12, 2020. Right now it is composed of 5 panels that are being sent to the owner to check the size. I will then make any adjustments that need to happen, apply a final backing which will join the 2 sets of panels on either side of the centerpiece together, adjust the thickness and do a final polish. I'll update once the final piece is inset into the harpsichord.
