Santa Fe Stone Creations Crafting Nature's Art in Semi-Precious Stone
Works in Progress
Currently I am working on a inlay into a custom built harpsichord. The instrument is finished in a deep green with gold leaf. The panel above the keyboard, presently inset with tile, will be inlaid with Tigerseye and Malachite. An example of the effect I hope to create is illustrated bottom left. A layout diagram of the design is shown. Below that is yours truly sorting thru a pile of rough Malachite and below that the rough material I chose to work with acquired at the Tuscon, Arizona gem and mineral show. The pictures below show the initial cuts made on the actual material to be used.
